The Ginetta Junior Championship is the UK’s longest-running and most prestigious junior racing series. Serving as the first step on the motorsport ladder for 14–17-year-old drivers, it offers aspiring racers an incredible introduction to competitive motorsport providing real racing experience, professional paddock exposure, and the perfect foundation for a future career in racing.Drivers compete in the Ginetta G40, a car designed specifically for learning and development. Powered by a sealed1.8-litre Ford Zetec engine with Jenvey throttle bodies, the G40 produces around 100bhp in accordance with championship regulations. A Quaife six-speed sequential gearbox and Quaife differential deliver smooth, consistent power, while the T45 tubular chassis and integrated FIA-spec safety cage ensure maximum safety. Each car also includes an FIA-approved seat and harness system, along with an ATL 45-litre FIA fuel cell.Strict technical regulations control the chassis, suspension, and braking systems, creating a level playing field where driver skill truly makes the difference.
